Improving Spring, TX Smiles with Dental Implants
If your smile is incomplete or you need to replace one or more teeth, dental implants may be the solution you've been looking for. This versatile restorative dentistry service can be used with everything from a single dental crown to a partial or full denture.
What Sets Dental Implants Apart?
Aside from their versatility, dental implants lead to more lifelike results. This is due to their structure, which mimics the crown-and-root structure that teeth naturally have. When treatment is complete, your custom-made restoration revitalizes the visible portion of your smile, while implant(s replace the invisible support structure.
Why Are Tooth Roots Important?
Our roots have two important jobs. The first, and most obvious, is that roots hold teeth in place. Their second job, which is just as important, is to keep the jawbone strong by stimulating the growth of new bone tissue.
When you lose even one root, you lose some of this regenerative ability. As a result, your jaw begins to atrophy. If this process isn't stopped or reversed by the placement of one or more dental implants, you may lose additional teeth as the jaw grows weaker.
Dental Implant Procedure
A full implant procedure is completed in two phases. In phase one, our skilled oral surgeon places one or more implant posts in the jaw. Afterwards, we give your mouth time to heal. As it does, a process known as osseointegration occurs. During osseointegration, your jawbone and implant(s) fuse together creating a strong, natural foundation for your future restoration.
Once the osseointegration process is complete, you'll return to our Spring office for phase two. In phase two, Dr. LeBlanc completes treatment by attaching your new custom-made restoration.
All-on-4 Implant Dentures
Besides offering traditional dental implants, we also provide All-on-4 implants. Developed by Nobel Biocare. This system replaces an entire row of teeth using just four implants, two of which are placed diagonally to take advantage of available bone. This feature means that patients who aren't candidates for traditional implants may qualify for treatment with All-on-4 implants. You will have all your teeth in one day.
