The Wand®
The Wand® is the latest advancement in pain-reducing restorative and cosmetic dentistry technology. It is a computer-controlled device used to administer injections. Best of all, it doesn’t look or feel like a needle. The Wand® allows our dentist to administer pain-free injections, making your visit to our Harris County office even more relaxing.
Before administering injections with the Wand®, Dr. Kelly LeBlanc will rub a topical anesthetic on the injection site. The Wand® delivers anesthetic at a consistent pressure and volume, and adjusts to changes in tissue. Additionally, the anesthetic is delivered first, insuring that the injection from the needle will be painless.
The precision and control of the computer-assisted Wand® makes it not only painless, but also easy to use for our dentist. Now, patients who are bothered by the mere sight of a needle no longer have to worry; though the Wand® uses a tiny needle, it doesn't look like a traditional syringe!
